Tedeschi Trucks Band

Formed in 2010, the Tedeschi Trucks Band has religiously played at least 200 dates each year since forming. Tedeschi Trucks, which has since grown to more than a dozen members, has been called “one of the best bands in the world” and has developed award-winning recordings.

The band is known for its six-night residencies at the Beacon Theater, which has been running since the year they formed. This year, Tedeschi Trucks Band will play all six days in early October 2017.

After completing their annual Wheels of Summer Tour – with special guests Wood Brothers and Hot Tune – the band is back on the road for more dates this fall throughout the US. Announced special guests include Greyhounds, Hard Working Americans, North Mississippi Allstars, The Wood Brothers and David Luning.

The Greyhounds will join the band in Alabama, Arkansas, New York and Arizona. Hard Working Americans will share the stage with Tedeschi Trucks Band in Texas, Oregon, Washington and California.

The Wood Brothers and Mississippi Allstars will each play one show in New York. David Luning will support the band on two dates in California

About Tedeschi Trucks Band

Based in Jackson, Florida, the blues rock group is led by married couple Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. Susan plays rhythm guitar and lead vocals, while Derek plays lead guitar. The ensemble also includes drums, percussion, bass guitar, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, flute, keyboards and harmony vocals.

The band has released three studio albums and two live albums since 2010.

Tedeschi Trucks Band formed after touring together in 2007 on the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi’s Soul Stew Revival. The couple merged their groups to form the Tedeschi Trucks Band three years later and performed their first concert that year at the Savannah Music Festival.

The band’s debut album Revelator, peaked at number 12 on the U.S. charts. Their second album, Made Up Mind, hit number 11 on the U.S. charts, while their third studio album Let Me Get By peaked at number 15.

In 2015, the blues group played a Joe Cocker tribute concert at the Lockn‘ Festival. The show featured musicians from Cocker’s bands.

Tedeschi Trucks Band won the Grammy Award for Best Blues Album in 2012 for their debut release Revelator. They also won four Blues Music Awards: Band of the Year (2014), Rock Blues Album of the Year (2014), Band of the Year (2017) and Rock Blues Album of the Year (2017).
